The First Day of the Rest of Your Life

Two passions of mine are reading (all things -- nytimes.com, magazines, macaroni ingredients, ad nauseum) and writing (terribly). I decided to do an English major along with my Plant Molecular Bio major because I love this mode of expression, I love creativity and I love stories. Previously a Xanga whore, I stopped blogging for a long time, because I was going through a tough period. I was ashamed of who I was, how little I felt like I accomplished, and wanted to disappear from the face of the planet in all respects, especially on t3h internets.

Soon my life is about to undergo a profound and dramatic change in about six months. Though it is not finalized which campus exactly I will be attending, I have taken that step to commit myself, and to promote, the Osteopathic principles and practice of medicine. I dream of one day being able to give back to all the family and friends who have stood by me through my darkest hours through medicine. I admire all the medical blogs floating around on the web, and hope to use this outlet to tell the crazy stories which I will no doubt pick up through school and beyond.

I am a different person, 180 degrees, than I was only two years ago. Looking forward to the journey.
